I booked the first few days accomodation on the road to Santiago and now I have 3 confirmations! It's amazing how much more real this makes things. I was a little nervous on account of the Transhumance on the Aubrac beginning the weekend after I leave. This is an annual festival that marks the moving of cattle up into the high pastures of the Aubrac. It is an amazing spectacle and I was keen to see it but it also means most accomodation is booked out months in advance... hence my nerves.
Another wonderful thing is that my friend Andre who I met on my last camino in 2008 has emailed to say he wants to do some walking again for a few days. I will be wonderful to see him again and he will probably have some good suggestions since he walked from Le Puy last year. Here he is with my friend Claudia. I hope you wont walk too fast this time Andre!
I now have accomodation booked right across the massiv central so I am more relaxed about things now.
